Who am I?

I’m just an amateur photographer that does the best he can with the landscape and wildlife at my disposal.

Granted, Texas isn’t the most beautiful place in the world, but there is usually beauty to be found if you’re willing to get off the beaten path and look closely enough.

It never ceases to amaze me that beautiful, intriguing, and unexpected things can be found in the least likely places if you’ll set yourself on a deliberate path to observe them.

I’ve learned that it’s not about the equipment - despite the fact that I love nice equipment - it’s more about a willingness to walk through tall grass, mud, or tolerate the Texas heat, mosquitos and other such unpleasantness to find just the right shot at just the right moment. Many outings produce very little outcome, but if you persist long enough, you get to capture a shot that others think came easily…but you know differently.

It’s a fun hobby if you ever find yourself in the mood to try something new… it’s been my primary hobby for the past 35 years.
